There are few encounters more daunting in Arc Raiders than the Queen. The hulking great mechanical beast can make light work of even the most efficient teams. So, threading the line between brave and stupid, one player decided to try and one-shot the six-legged nightmare – and the results are actually surprising.

The YouTuber Zeeb decided to perform the experiment – y'know, for science. Obviously, no conventional weapons are capable of one-shotting the Queen, because if any did, Embark would have a pretty large balancing issue on its hands. But where there's a will, there's a way, and the path forward comes laid out in gasoline.

The first problem is getting all that fuel. You have to rely on sporadic in-game drops and buying limitations in the shop. But after "16 hours I'm not getting back" and gathering supplies, Zeep manages to get enough. His next issue is getting the Queen in position.

She's too tall for an explosion on the ground to reach her, the canisters don't stack up no matter how many you drop, and you need to protect yourself when you get her attention. Zeeb finds a little hideaway on Dam Battleground that's perfect, because it'll cause her to kneel to laser him, bringing her closer to the fire.

He and two others form a team and head out. The first attempt is squandered by other raiders, but the second goes much better. Placing all the fuel in one place, they aggro the giant, prowling robot, manage to dodge the attacks, then ignite the pile when she leans down. Kaboom!

The frame rate drops, they're low on health and ammo, but looks like they might have done it? The smoke clears… no dice, but she's definitely on the ropes. Sadly, Zeeb's taken out before they can take her out properly, but the mission to kill the Queen is labeled a success regardless.

So can you one-shot possibly the most powerful enemy in the game? No – but if you're brave enough, you can get hilariously close. The challenge is now on for who can do better.
