Disney is set to deliver another thrilling crossover following Mickey Mouse teaming up with Stitch. Now he's learning how to dance with our beloved Spider team! The series Spidey and His Amazing Friends is crossing over with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+ for a new short that'll have you moving to the music. As part of Disney's new Mickey+ shorts series, Collider is thrilled to bring you an exclusive look at the Mickey+Spidey short ahead of its arrival on Disney+ on December 8.
The new series allows Mickey and the rest of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang to meet with some of our favorite characters in the Disney catalog. He has already met with Stitch from Lilo & Stitch, which...if you remember the DVD menu from the animated film from the early 2000s, Stitch has met a lot of Disney characters. The Mickey+Stitch short saw Mickey and Minnie teach Stitch the classic "Hot Dog Dance." Fans can also look forward to a Mickey+Bluey short in the future.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+ builds upon the legacy of the original Emmy Award-winning series, welcoming a whole new generation of preschoolers and their families to the clubhouse for all-new, plussed-up adventures with Mickey, Minnie, and their pals. The new Mickey+ series is described as follows:
"Building on the success of Disney Jr.’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+ which debuted on Disney+ this summer, Mickey is inviting some familiar friends to join in on his adventures. A special new shorts series Mickey+ finds Mickey and his Clubhouse pals interacting for the very first time with some of Disney’s biggest stars including Stitch, Spidey and Bluey. Whether it’s doing the Hot Dog Dance with Stitch, learning the 'Do the Spidey' dance from Spidey and his Amazing Friends or engaging in pretend play with Bluey and her family, it’s delightful to see Mickey overlap with other beloved Disney worlds and characters."
'Spidey and His Amazing Friends' Meets 'Mickey Mouse Clubhouse'
The Spidey/Mickey dance features a new song from Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump, who also sings the theme song for Spidey and His Amazing Friends. Spidey instructs everyone how to do the dance, and famous characters like Goofy aren't the best at the dance, but it is fun to see Mickey, Spidey, and more dancing to the music as they "do the Spidey." And yes, that includes using your perfected Spidey "thwip" to dance!
You can see Mickey and Spidey dancing on Disney+.
