And even outside the College Football Playoff, a handful of SEC teams will get the chance to shine in bowl games, including LSU, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

What is LSU's bowl game?
LSU will be playing in the Kinder's Texas Bowl.
That game will be played on Dec. 27 against Houston.
What is Tennessee's bowl game?
The Volunteers will take the field on Dec. 30 for their bowl game.
It'll be the Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl, surely with plenty of Vols fans in the crowd.
They'll take on Illinois.

What is Vanderbilt's bowl game?
Vandy is playing in the Reliaquest Bowl.
That'll take place on Dec. 31, New Year's Ave.
The Commodores, and Diego Pavia, will take on the Iowa Hawkeyes out of the Big Ten.
