There's a new Palworld update, as we continue toward the launch of 1.0. This one gives a bit more life to Summoning Altars, as well as making short-range weapons generally more efficient, two things the community’s been yearning for some time.
Starting with the Summoning Altars – the items used to warp in raid bosses for you to challenge – they aren't entirely single-use anymore. "The Summoning Altar at your base will no longer be destroyed at the end of the raids inside the raid area," say the patch notes.

Or, put another way, "I guess that's the price if you wanna build a raid base where the base design helps with the fight," as a commenter on Reddit states.
Away from bringing in powerful beasts to reckon with, melee weapons have gotten boosts for recovery time and range. The former is now shorter, and the latter larger, making swords (both regular and beam) and the katana more formidable generally.
There's a laundry list of bug fixes, addressing very specific issues. Toward the bottom, an achievement on Steam (Alpha Pal Slayer) is sorted, to make sure it triggers for everyone appropriate. Another player on Reddit noted they just got it, and it was the last thing they were missing. If you're in a similar position, boot up the game to cross it off the list.
This update is now live. Palworld 1.0 is incoming, and there's no release window yet, but it seems like it'll be a whale of a time.
