President Donald Trump said that two Republican senators who called for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to be removed are "losers" and "terrible senators."
Speaking to ABC News' Rachel Scott, Trump took aim at Lisa Murkowski and Thom Tillis, saying "one is gone and the other should be gone."
Just spoke to Pres. Trump. I asked him if he had seen the video of Rep. Omar being attacked and sprayed by a substance.“No. I don't think about her. I think she's a fraud. I really don't think about that. She probably had herself sprayed, knowing her,” the president said. I…

"In the meantime, I have a border that's perfect – the strongest, one of the strongest borders anywhere in the world. We went from the weakest border in the world to one of the strongest borders in the world," he added.
"So what Murkowski says – she's always against the Republicans anyway. And Tillis decided to drop out. So you know, he lost his voice once he did that."
Noem is under increased heat after the killing of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis last Saturday. A large amount of Democrats have joined previous calls for Noem's removal, with Senator John Fetterman calling on Trump to fire her "immediately."
"Americans have died. She is betraying DHS's core mission and trashing your border security legacy. DO NOT make the mistake President Biden made for not firing a grossly incompetent DHS Secretary," he added in a recent social media publication.
Elsewhere, 120 Democrats in the House of Representatives have signed to co-sponsor an impeachment resolution against her. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said on Tuesday that if Trump doesn't fire her, he will push ahead on impeachment.
Moreover, Sen. Jack Rosen of Nevada said on social media that Noem has been "an abject failure leading the Department of Homeland Security for the last year," adding that recent violent altercations involving immigration agents are proof that Noem has lost control of her department and staff.
"Kristi Noem and her department's latest attempt to mislead the American public regarding the brutal and unjustified killing of Alex Pretti is deeply shameful, and she must be impeached and removed from office immediately," Rosen said.
Noem, along with other members of the Trump administration, has denied any wrongdoing by federal immigration agents during the shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, going as far as claiming he was the one inciting violence.
