Two Republican senators called for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to be removed from her post as the fallout from operations in Minneapolis continues.
They are Sens. Thom Tillis and Lisa Murkowski. The former said "she should be out of a job," while the latter said she would not support her nomination again and thinks "it probably is time for her to step down."
More from my interview with President Trump last night:I asked the president about Sens. Tillis and Murkowski calling for Sec. Noem to step down. "Well, they're both losers. You know, what can I tell you? They're terrible senators. One is gone and the other should be gone,"…

President Donald Trump stood by Noem and slammed the lawmakers from his party, calling them "losers" and "terrible senators." "One is gone and the other should be gone," he added.
"So what Murkowski says – she's always against the Republicans anyway. And Tillis decided to drop out. So you know, he lost his voice once he did that."
A large amount of Democrats have also called for Noem's removal, with Senator John Fetterman calling on Trump to fire her "immediately."
"Americans have died. She is betraying DHS's core mission and trashing your border security legacy. DO NOT make the mistake President Biden made for not firing a grossly incompetent DHS Secretary," he added in a recent social media publication.
Noem is taking intense heat from Democrats, and 120 of them in the House of Representatives have signed to co-sponsor an impeachment resolution against her. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said on Tuesday that if Trump doesn't fire her, he will push ahead on impeachment.
Moreover, Sen. Jack Rosen of Nevada said on social media that Noem has been "an abject failure leading the Department of Homeland Security for the last year," adding that recent violent altercations involving immigration agents are proof that Noem has lost control of her department and staff.
"Kristi Noem and her department's latest attempt to mislead the American public regarding the brutal and unjustified killing of Alex Pretti is deeply shameful, and she must be impeached and removed from office immediately," Rosen said.
Noem, along with other members of the Trump administration, has denied any wrongdoing by federal immigration agents during the shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, going as far as claiming he was the one inciting violence.
