Being able to find Expired Respirators in Arc Raiders is part of the Trophy Display Project. Specifically Stage 2: Soaring Menaces, where you'll need three of them to complete the second stage. The rest of what you need - some Spotter Relays, as well as Wasp and Hornet Drivers, are fairly easy to find and farm, just leaving the respirators as the problem child. Knowing where to look will make the job a lot easier and, if you're lucky, you can get what you need in three targeted trips out to the surface.
Arc Raiders Expired Respirator location
Arc Raiders Expired Respirators are found in medical areas, as listed in our Arc Raiders Loot Cheat Sheet. The general consensus on where's best to find them, and where I found mine, is to head to the Testing Annex in Dam Battlegrounds. It's fairly easy to reach, and generally a less busy and dangerous area. It also has plenty of loot to turn over in search of respirators and is right next to a lift, so you can extract quickly if it's still open when you've found what you need. The best way to find Expired Respirators in Arc Raiders then, is to make a beeline to the Testing Annex, head up to the first floor and check all the scientific/medical looking rooms. You can't miss these areas as they have offices with large wobbly yellow glass panels and desks full of very obviously scientific stuff and machines. When you get there search everything, although I found most of my respirators in one of these storage racks:
When you find an Expired Respirator in Arc Raiders make sure you put it in your safe pocket immediately, so you'll keep it whatever happens. If you're lucky, the Red Lake Balcony lift will still be active, which is immediately outside the Testing Annex. You can keep searching for multiple respirators, but with the lift so close you're probably better off getting in quick and leaving the second you find one. Three short trips like that and you'll have this part of the Arc Raiders Trophy Cabinet Project ticked off.
