It’s been Charli xcx’s moment for nearly two years now. Since the eruption of Brat in 2024, the pop star has managed to cement herself as a perennial It girl. That said, the peak of Brat was a moment unlike anything we’ve seen before (or since) in pop culture. Naturally, the singer wanted to capture the global phenomenon, and thus, The Moment was born – a mockumentary directed by Aidan Zamiri, starring Kylie Jenner, Rachel Sennott, Alexander Skarsgård, Julia Fox and more.
Yesterday evening (January 29) saw the Los Angeles premiere of the A24-produced movie, drawing a gaggle of famous faces including Charli herself and husband George Daniel, director Zamiri, cast member Jenner, as well as friends Troye Sivan, Gabbriette and even Chappell Roan (who was the “Apple” dance guest during The Sweat Tour’s Primavera set).
As expected, when an It crowd attends a premiere, there were several major fashion moments. Charli’s stylist, Chris Horan, explained the singer’s look on Instagram: “Grammys corset, tour shorts, new tights, wedding bra”, he wrote, breaking down each element of the look – all taken from huge moments in Charli’s life over the past two years. Kylie Jenner opted for Glenn Marten’s SS26 Margiela collection for the carpet, though she removed the mouthpiece originally worn in the show.
