Subscribe to our newsletterThe strange but excellent old-school RPG Dread Delusion (a game I call Morrowind-ish on account of all the funky mushroom trees scattered about) is finally coming to pretty much every modern console.
The open-world game first hit Steam almost two years ago, and in that time Dread Delusion's amassed nearly 4.000 user reviews, 90% of which give it the thumbs up for an average 'Very Positive' rating on the platform.

"The kind of game that invites you to explore, get lost, and to make morally grey decisions about what to do," one review reads. "For your commitment, you're rewarded with real consequences that impact the way the game feels. The more time you spend, the more you'll think and dream about it. I want to refrain from making the comparison, but this game did remind me of how it "felt" to play Morrowind for the first time."

Dread Delusion is now coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch 2 sometimes later in Spring, 2026. There's no word yet on how much the console port will cost, but you can wishlist the game on both the Xbox Store and the PlayStation Store for now.
"The world is broken," the Steam description reads. "Its surface seethes with an undead curse, while humanity clings to flying continents in the sky. From mushroom forests to undead mausoleums, strange places and people await you. But will you find a way to heal this world - or seek power and profit for yourself?"
Here are the upcoming indie games of 2025 and beyond.
