On the hunt for the best Star Wars gifts? Luckily, you've come to the right parsec for presents. The GamesRadar+ team and I are enormous fans of a galaxy far, far away, and we've spent years collecting merch based on it in our own time as well as covering it here professionally. Best Star Wars gifts under $20/£20
Want to keep costs down, or looking for the ideal stocking filler? These are all great starting points.
One of the easiest but most effective Star Wars gifts around is this neat heat-changing mug. It displays a collection of lightsaber hilts along the bottom that 'ignite' when you fill it with hot water. It's an understatement to say that Squishmallows are popular, and the Star Wars versions are absolutely delightful - I've seen a few of them in person and have always been taken aback by how soft and cuddly they are. Although it came out a few years ago, this collection of 40 short stories set during the original Star Wars (A New Hope) is still my go-to suggestion in terms of books. It's niche enough not to be on everyone's shelf but is still a standalone experience, so fans won't be lost. It also involves a who's who of official Star Wars authors. You can never go wrong with a good Star Wars action figure, and the Vintage Collection figures are far more detailed than you'd expect for the price. This new Han Solo model is particularly accurate and comes in retro packaging, making it an instant hit of nostalgia for older fans or the perfect toybox addition for young padawans. Best Star Wars gifts under $50/£50
If your budget can stretch a little further, you'll find a host of impressive Star Wars gifts that strike a great balance of cost and quality.
The latest version of the Star Wars Villainous board game pits nefarious Grand Admiral Thrawn against Count Dooku, so it's a suitably tactical matchup. If your loved one adores a bit of armchair strategy, they should get on well with this standalone set. See all Star Wars board games at Amazon
Despite having a price tag of around $35/£25, this glorious cookbook is usually discounted to well under $20/£20. In my opinion, Black Series action figures are some of - if not the - best toys from a galaxy far, far away. Boasting a ridiculous level of detail and weathering on top of enviable articulation for posing, they're impressive. Most impressive. It's now tradition to break out your 'ugliest' knitwear in time for Christmas, and that means a sweater like the amusing number above will do the trick as one of the best Star Wars gifts over the Holidays. Buying for kids, or someone who loves Baby Yoda? This book is inspired by Where's Waldo, only it substitutes the bespeckled master of hiding for the cutest alien frog child this side of Tatooine. If you're completely stuck for ideas, an official Disney Store gift card is better than nothing. Disney is the home of Star Wars, so all the best goodies from a galaxy far, far away can be found there - ranging from toys to replica lightsabers. How to choose Star Wars gifts
There's a universe of Star Wars gifts out there, so how do you find the best ones? Considering the thousands of toys, collectibles, and curiosities that exist, where do you even start? If you're feeling overwhelmed, don't worry - here's what I always ask when tracking down Star Wars-related presents.
🎥 Work out their favorite Star Wars filmsIt's easy to say "all of them" and wring your hands in despair, but I'd bet you that your loved one likes a specific set of movies or characters better than the others. If they're all about the original trilogy, you know to focus on products featuring Darth Vader, Luke, Leia, Han, and the rest. If they prefer the sequel or prequel trilogy, that's another helpful starting point.
🏆 Do they like collectibles and display pieces?It's worth considering this question, because you don't want to get someone who prefers a minimalist setup lots of bulky 'stuff' to clutter their space, cool though it may be - that present may end up stuffed in a cupboard and never seen again. If they don't tend to show off display pieces like Funkos, replicas, or action figures, I'd look at clothing or books (including the High Republic novels, the 'From a Certain Point of View' short stories, and coffee table art books) instead. These tidy away neatly so won't be on show all the time, but are still thoughtful presents.
🧑 Are you shopping for adults?It sounds like an obvious question, but the best Star Wars gifts for a 30-something grown-up aren't necessarily going to be the same as those for a kid. If they're an older fan, I'd take a look at books (coffee table art books for the films are always a solid bet), collectibles like helmet or lightsaber replicas, and apparel such as hats, hoodies, or tees. Those are all fairly safe bets.
👪 Are you shopping for kids?If you're shopping for young padawans, my gut reaction is to go straight for the plushies, action figures like Black Series/Vintage Collection, or toy lightsabers such as Lightsaber Forge. There's a broad enough variety of each that you're unlikely to double up on anything the recipient already has, and they're all plain awesome.
