The Green Bay Packers are back atop the NFC North after defeating the Chicago Bears 28-21 at Lambeau Field in Week 14.
The Packers never trailed, but after holding a 14-3 lead at halftime, things got tense when they allowed the Bears to tie the game at 21 in the fourth quarter. But Green Bay’s offense had a response ready, orchestrating an 8-play, 65-yard drive over the span of nearly four and a half minutes to reclaim the lead. Then, it was on the defense to seal the deal, and after allowing Chicago to get inside the red zone, they did just that, thanks to Keisean Nixon’s game-sealing interception.

More tough games await, but for now, let’s celebrate the win by highlighting some standouts.
WR Christian Watson
Watson would be having a career year if not for missing the first seven weeks due to injury. The fourth-year receiver has breathed new life into Green Bay’s offense through his consistent playmaking. Watson caught all four of his passes against the Bears, totaling 89 yards and scoring two touchdowns. He was responsible for the first touchdown of the game after getting behind Chicago’s secondary for a 23-yard reception. His second was a clutch play on a 3rd-and-3 in which he took a slant 41 yards to the house to put the Packers ahead by 10. Watson has come into his own this season, and his one-year extension worth $13.25 million to keep him on the team through 2026 is looking more and more like a bargain.
RB Josh Jacobs
Nothing has been easy for Jacobs this season, and that was no different on Sunday. Green Bay’s lead back had very little room to work with, but that didn’t stop him from turning in another solid performance. Jacobs rushed for 86 yards on 20 carries (4.3 avg) and also scored the go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth. He set up the touchdown with his most impressive run of the day, a 21-yard gain on a 3rd-and-2, where it looked like he would be stopped in the backfield. Four plays later, he would punch it in from two yards out to take the deciding 28-21 lead.
Edge Kingsley Enagbare
In the midst of a quiet season, Enagbare made two high impact plays in Sunday’s win. The Packers' pass rush hit Bears quarterback Caleb Williams six times, but it was Enagbare who delivered the biggest one, a 9-yard sack to wipe out a scoring chance before halftime. He then made a crucial stop on Chicago’s final drive when he stopped Kyle Monangai for no gain on 3rd-and-1. Green Bay won the game on the very next play by forcing a turnover.
WR Bo Melton
The Packers’ wide receiver group was at full strength for the first time all season on Sunday, and yet, it was Melton who was on the receiving end of one of Jordan Love’s three touchdown passes. Looking for points with less than 40 seconds left before the half, Love uncorked a deep ball to Melton, who had gotten behind the secondary. Melton made the switch to corner in the offseason, but has been getting more and more opportunities at receiver as of late. He made the most of it in Week 14 with a 45-yard touchdown grab.
CB Keisean Nixon
Nixon showed why it’s important to have a short memory as an NFL corner. In the second quarter, he handed the Bears a free first down on what should have been a 3rd-and-8, via an illegal hands to the face penalty. Later that same drive that ended in a Chicago field goal, he was flagged for an unnecessary roughness penalty. Nixon took another lump when he surrendered a touchdown to Olamide Zaccheaus. However, Nixon bounced back. He forced an incompletion on a nice read to blow up a screen for DJ Moore. Nixon then saved the day when he picked off Williams in the end zone on 4th-and-1 with less than 30 seconds remaining. Even though he is tied for third in the league in pass defenses, this was his first interception of the season.
