Subscribe to our newsletterArc Raiders Geiger Counter locations became far more important after it became a part of a project added via the Headwinds update. But knowing where to look to find one is no easy thing. In fact, this Epic level item is specific to one location: Stella Montis, arguably the cruellest, harshest map in Arc Raiders itself. Ultimately you'll be battling against RNG to find it, but there are things you can do to increase your odds and find a Geiger Counter in Arc Raiders.
Where to find a Geiger Counter in Arc Raiders
The Geiger Counter is only found in the Stella Montis map, but not in a specific location. As an Epic Rarity Exodus type item, it spawns randomly in containers, but has a higher chance to spawn in both High Level Loot areas, and in areas specifically marked with the Exodus symbol. That means we highly advise checking the following locations (on a Night Raid if possible):
- Assembly and Business Center. These are the two locations on the map actually marked for Exodus items, though it's no guarantee. The Business Center is generally better, simply because it has a higher density of containers for you to check, allowing you to roll the dice more often.
- Medical Research. This is actually where I found my most recent Geiger Counter, inside one of the random white filing cabinets that fill the area, though it's not specific to those. Medical Research being red-lined area means that high level loot of all sorts is more plentiful here, including the Epic Geiger Counter.
They seem to mostly have been found in the white medical drawers shown above and the white medical trolleys with the display screen and two drawers you'll find in medical areas. They also are supposed to turn up in the yellow tool cabinets in the more industrial areas, and the small blue cabinets in control rooms. Although they have also been found in the servers you can pry open and other containers. The main issue is, given their rareness, you basically need to spawn in next to one to have a chance of getting it first.

You'll need three Geiger Counters for the final stage of the Arc Raiders Trophy Display project, so I definitely recommend keeping any that you find even if you haven't reached that stage yet. It's worth reiterating that Geiger Counters are very rare in Arc Raiders, and that one of our team has been searching for one for days with zero luck. It also doesn't help that the Trophy Display project has made them far more valuable, so other players who find them are less likely to leave them behind.
