Making glass in Pokemon Pokopia is a bit like the process you undertake for the likes of Pokopia paper or Pokopia bricks, but it also involves a machine known as the smelting furnace. It's a useful resource for creating building elements like windows and doors, and even for some other crafting recipes you'll encounter in the game.

Thankfully, making Pokopia glass is very easy and requires resources you're going to have plenty of if you like tidying up in Pokemon Pokopia. Here's how to do it:

1. Start collecting sand or volcanic ash

The first thing you'll need to make Pokopia glass is any kind of sand (including ordinary sand and beach sand) or volcanic ash. The latter is very plentiful in Rocky Ridges as there's seemingly been some kind of volcanic eruption there as the stuff is everywhere and regularly gets in the way of my creative building endevours.

Sand is obviously available anywhere there's a coastline, so there's a lot at Bleak Beach but also in Withered Wastleand too.

You'll need one block of sand or ash per glass.

2. Find a Pokemon with the Burn Specialty

Once you've got pockets bulging with sand or ash, then find yourself a Pokemon with the Burn Specialty. Thankfully there's a lot of them, and it's basically any Fire-Type Pokemon, so you can count on folks like Growlithe, Charmander, Magmar, Vulpix, Torchic and more.

Once you've chosen your Burn-powered pal, then get them to follow you for the next part.

3. Put your sand or ash in a smelting furnace

Next you'll need a smelting furnace, which is a specific piece of equipment for breaking down any metals into metal bars, like gold, bronze, iron, or even Pokemetal. Now, it is also the key to turning sand or ash into glass.

There's one already situated in the mines in Rocky Ridges, which you can see marked on the map below. But otherwise you can craft one yourself if you have the recipe.

From there, interact with the smelting furnace and then dump up to 99 of your sand or ash into it. It'll show you that you're about to make some glass, and that your Burn pal is going to be assigned to it.

Then, once you've exited out of the smelting furnace menu, your Burn Specialty Pokemon will start making your glass. It takes a good few minutes per piece of glass to create, so you might want to go away and come back if you're making a whole stack.
