Withered Wasteland

Withered Wasteland is the starter area of Pokemon Pokopia, and a drought has fallen over the land. By following the story quests, you'll be tasked with throwing a Rain Dance party to make it rain, bringing life back to this once deserted land, and unlocking two more areas: Bleak Beach and Rocky Ridges.

Bleak Beach

Once you've helped bring rain to Withered Wasteland, you'll be able to unlock the door at the end of the path to the right of the Pokemon Center, which takes you to the Vermilion City-inspired Bleak Beach. Here, you'll be able to find the materials required to make bricks in Pokopia, and of course you'll meet a load of new Pokemon.

This seafront city is pretty dilapated right now, but here you'll find both Peakychu and Mosslax, and they'll help you complete the 'Brighten Things Up' quest and make Bleak Beach feel a little less, well, bleak.

Rocky Ridges

The entrance to Rocky Ridges can be found in a cave to the northeast of the Withered Wasteland map. This is the same cave in which you'll find Onix as part of the Yawn up a Storm quest, which is required to gain access to the gate anyway, so you'll know the area.

Based on Pewter, Rocky Ridges is a cute forest area with train tracks running through it, leading underground. The story quest in Rocky Ridges is called 'Time to Party', and completing it is required to unlock the fourth and final - for now - area.

Sparkling Skylands

Once you've completed all three story quests from the previous areas: Yawn Up a Storm, Brighten Things Up, and Time to Party, you'll finally be able to reach Sparkling Skylands. This gate is located to the North of Withered Wasteland, and you'll need to craft some ladders to reach it.

This beautiful land is the toughest to rebuild, of course, requiring more rare and valuable resources than the others, but it's well worth it, if no other reason than for getting the complete experience. There are also habitats and Pokemon here that you won't find elsewhere.

Palette Town

The playful Palette town is cleverly named after the well-known Pallet Town of the Kanto region, and it works in exactly the same way as the others, only there are no main story challenges here. There is a Pokemon Center to build, and you'll find Pokemon here, but the area is yours to do with as you wish - you can even rename it to something that suits you better.

Once you enter Palette Town, you'll unlock Special Challenges to complete in the area, and the rewards are all linked to new, special habitat items. This means there are some Pokemon you won't find until you complete these challenges, so get cracking!
